Childhood friends Laura Schubert and Lillian Tung started Fur You in 2014 as a way of challenging taboos around pubic hair with a sophisticated intimate care product line.
Right from the start, they encountered rejection from retailers and skincare formulators who didn’t want to work with them. Despite the traction in women’s movements and sexual wellness, openness about intimacy was still perceived by some as too crude for a commercial offering.
Advisors told them to remove the word “pubic” from their packaging. The duo refused to shift their focus and their steely determination finally paid off with an appearance on ABC’s Shark Tank in 2020, which saw them secure a six-figure investment that would take the business to new heights.

The internet consumes a lot of electricity. 416.2TWh per year to be precise. To give you some perspective, that’s more than the entire United Kingdom. From data centres to transmission networks to the devices that we hold in our hands, it is all consuming electricity, and in turn producing carbon emissions.
