Library Science

Library Science, founded by Kaia Gerber and Alyssa Reeder in 2020, is an online book club dedicated to engaging young readers in meaningful discussions on diverse topics such as race, gender, and climate change. By focusing on underrepresented voices and stories beyond typical bestseller lists, Library Science fosters a community that values empathy and understanding through literature. We include Library Science in the Lunaria Mental Health Library because we believe that immersing oneself in diverse narratives can enhance mental well-being, promote empathy, and encourage mindful screen breaks.
