Yangzhou Bookshop

The bookstore's design, created by Shanghai-based studio XL-Muse, features a black mirrored floor paired with two walls of arched shelving that creates the illusion of an endless tunnel of books.

The inspiration for the design comes from the rich heritage of Yangzhou, which has a history of being a gathering place for literary figures. Visitors to the bookstore are meant to flow along the design, deeper into the bookshop and into the "vast ocean of knowledge." As you walk through the bookstore, you will find additional architectural gems such as a children's reading room with a starry night sky ceiling, and an adult reading room with curvy architecture, and more books to browse. It is designed to reflect the rich cultural stories of Yangzhou and is a must-see destination for book lovers and architecture enthusiasts.
